Cannon Green can be hard to peg—but that’s by design. We’re an acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant and also a private event venue. We’re the go-to spot for weekend brunch and wedding receptions. We’re Happy Hour-central and also culinary headquarters for Charleston’s foodie sophisticates. In short, we’re a gathering common of uncommon spaces, visionary designers and culinary artisans. When we add you to the mix, it’s a well-gathered common indeed.


The Food

The Cannon Green concept is a fusion of centuries, design, and most of all, flavors. Our food concept emphasizes all things local, seasonal and fresh, and with a focus on elevating flavor through simple eloquence. There’s definite Mediterranean influence, and plenty of regional authenticity.

The Space

The Cannon Green experience begins with this property—a space that wowed us ever since Anne Bowen Dabney, a floral designer and one of our co-founders, first discovered it while searching for storage for her expanding inventory. Lured by a sign advertising “6,000 square feet of warehouse space” hanging on a dilapidated Charleston Single, she peeked in to find one of the most compelling and intriguing places in town. She and her husband/business partner Dave immediately asked experienced hospitality entrepreneurs Lynn and Dean to take a look, and that’s how the vision for this most original project began emerging. You’ll notice Anne’s garden and floral artistry throughout Cannon Green, which complement the refined design touches of food-and-bev veterans Dean and Lynn, who oversee general operations. Like our food, all Cannon Green art is local too, all original by contemporary Charleston artists. People come for the food, but we hope you’ll feast on the inspired creativity of every aspect of Cannon Green.
